SGS shout box is in military time and post times are recorded the wrong time.
Can this be corrected?
Today we were concerned cause a lady posted then we couldn't get her on the phone... So we worried something was wrong with her.. Would have been nice to know the right time she posted.

Lemme look ...
Board time is GMT-6 (correct for you). It looks very much like post times are also GMT-6. I assume you have had posts in the last 6 hours. The shoutbox is GMT. I expect that is the way it always has been and always will be (except it would have been PST a couple of years back). So, if you are seeing GMT on the board then the issue lies in your account setting. You will need to change the timezone in your account to CST (GMT-6), save, log out, log in again. You should then see the changes on the board. |

Sounds awfully complicated put that way.
The board is in your time. The shoutbox is 6 hours ahead of that. |

no way to change the shoutbox to my time then? cause my PC and SGS time is right.. just shoutbox is wrong

I think it has always been like that and always likely to be like that.
Adding 6 is easy if you imagine a clock dial. Just move the little hand around in the opposite direction. Then all you need to remember is that it is ahead of your time. 10AM your time is 4PM GMT. |
